Job Description

ALS GROUP is looking for an Electronics / PLC Engineer for an engineering-technology company in Bratislava (Slovakia) that specializes in the development, manufacturing and implementation of equipment and system solutions for agriculture, livestock farming, horse breeding and biomass processing. The company builds its own technology platforms and equipment — from engineering design and prototyping to serial production and service. All R&D and manufacturing take place in Slovakia, with an emphasis on quality, reliability and real-world applicability. A small, close-knit team (20–24 employees) and a dynamic environment with no unnecessary bureaucracy. We are looking for a specialist responsible for the development, configuration and implementation of automation systems for industrial equipment — someone who understands industrial processes, works confidently with electronics and has a real impact on the efficiency and reliability of the equipment. Key responsibilities: • Development, programming and configuration of PLC systems (Schneider Electric) • Participation in the design of electrical schematics and automation systems • Configuration and integration of industrial equipment • Work with electric motors and variable frequency drives (VFD) • Diagnostics and troubleshooting of electronic systems • Commissioning works • Optimization of equipment operation and automated processes • Cooperation with designers, technologists and production • Preparation of technical documentation Important: this is not a “service technician” position. We are looking for an engineer who sees the system as a whole, influences how the equipment runs and is able to solve complex technical tasks. An advantage: experience with other PLC systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.), commissioning experience, knowledge of HMI/SCADA systems, experience in manufacturing or engineering companies.

Requirements

  • Experience with PLC
  • Hands-on experience with industrial equipment
  • Understanding of electric motors and variable frequency drives (VFD)
  • Experience configuring and maintaining automation systems
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering and industrial electronics principles
  • Basic to intermediate SolidWorks skills
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation
  • Responsibility, technical mindset, ability to work independently
  • University technical degree (Bachelor / Master / PhD)
  • English or Slovak at B2 level

What we offer

  • Work in an innovative manufacturing company
  • Participation in creating and commissioning modern equipment
  • Real impact on technical solutions
  • A dynamic environment with no unnecessary bureaucracy
  • Opportunities for professional growth
  • Competitive salary (from €2,000 gross, based on experience)
